My husband and I were on a road trip starting from Venice and working our way to Alba for the truffle fair then on to Rome. We stayed at Hotel Metropole Swisse because they had parking. It was a bit of a disappointment because our...More

Breath-taking fixtures inside, stonework carvings everywhere, a more somber feeling, candles providing a good bit of lighting, and high vaulted and intricately crafted ceilings all make for an absolutely haunting and majestic experience. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to stand in the middle of...More

Don't miss this for the bars and the shops. It's full of history and atmosphere and an age of old glass and wood that could tell many a story. You will find your special place here.

This is a landmark in Como. Our sightseeing guide took us here and showed us the square around the place. This cathedral is nice and ornate inside. We spent some time inside to look around.

This landmark cathedral is within a short walk from the Como Lago train station. We toured it on our way to catch the ferry to Bellagio near Piazza Cavour. It’s cavernous and somewhat ornate inside but certainly not as glamorous as the one in Milan....More
