The Cremona cathedral feels both lovely and accessible at the same time. The interior is not quite as spectacular as some other churches- even San Michele Vetere which is also in Cremona. But the combination of the architecture, the very impressive exterior and the lovely...More

The Duomo looks impressive from outside especially with it's associated tower. The interior is a bit of a disappointment. While it is a massive area it is fairly dark which doesn't allow the artworks to be seen in all their glory.

A true land mark seen from long distance and when you get to the center and see the great building close and then also from the inside it’s really fantastic. The inside of the cathedral is really beautiful, as beautiful as the high tower is...More

The torrazzo di Cremona is the tallest brick belltower in Europe (111m) and is a symbol of the city, demonstrating the skill of the medieval masons responsible for erecting the tower. The astronomical clock facing the piazza is the largest of its kind in the...More

A nice tall tower to look, but the really interesting piece is the 50+m2 clock. And not just a clock, but astronomical clock. Very cool. Reserve some time to walk up as there is no elevator.

It seems that every inch of this cathedral is covered with frescoes, alters and religious relics. It's hard to even imagine the time and work that would have been involved in completing the interior of this cathedral. It is grand in stature and filled with...More

I rate the facade with 5 Points. The construction began in the Romanesque style. Expansions and renovations introduced Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. The exterior is truly unique and imposing. I rate the interior just 3 Points. It boasts a collection of frescoes. These are...More

This is the "lighthouse" building in Cremona and demonstrates the richness of this city at least in the past. Beautiful architecture.

It is a huge and very nice tower, with an astronomical clock. It has got 503 steps to go up and watch the city from there. It could be a very nice view, but for us it is too much.

One of the nicest facade in Italy. The loggias, the statues are very nice. If you get in the whole cathedral is monumental both the sizes and the richness of decoration.
