This Basilica is beautifully decorated and the ceilings are breath-taking. The most amazing church we visited on our recent trip.

Actually very spectacular inside BUT strictly enforced to photography inside. Usually very full of tourists so come early for the least crowds.

A beautiful church well worth visiting. Like many Italian churches the ceilings are beautiful, the art work adorning the walls exquisite, the altar wondrous to behold. You can also view the relics of a former Pope in an alcove off the main church.

I've seen many churches in my travels around Europe, but this one is certainly special and worth a visit. Entry is free. In my opinion if you've got church overload, skip the Cathedral next door, but do stick your head in this one!

We went without expectations, and we were really surprised by the artwork. There are so many fine elaborated details, the floor the painted ceiling, the stautes and more. 🗿⚰️ It is really impressive, we liked it a lot. Highly recommended 👍🏼 👍🏼 🙂

If you visit the Cita Alta (old town) in Bergarmo do not miss this church. It has the most amazing artwork. Every inch of the ceiling and walls is covered in paintings, carvings or tapestries and it has wonderful statues, some from the 13th Century....More
