it a small coastal town nice place to visit in summer. staying in Rapallo will be easy to move by train to Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Camogli etc......... nice place to spend summer..................
It’s so nice to walk thru the centro and browse all of its shops . You can’t come to Rapallo and not walk down a couple streets . Don’t forget there is a fruit and vegetable market every day that is in the center ....More
Rapallo town center is certainly worth the visit and you will enjoy but it does not have the same historical feel and ambiance as other similar old town centers would have . We still enjoyed our stroll around it .
It was an ancient Genovese village and had build itself the famous castle and the lovely old town, nice place, a market place, old palazzos and many colored houses; nice to stroll in the narrow streets, nice restaurants and terraces.
We returned to Rapallo in August, this time with a bit more time available so, while it was still daylight, we walked through its Centro Storico (and left the waterfront walk for later). We walked all along the via Mazzini and came upon a special...More
