While taking a walk round town we came across this unusual but very interesting building. It seemed so out of place among the other more traditional town centre buildings.

Palazzo delle Poste is an impressive looking building. We happened to be walking outside on one occasion, on our way elsewhere, and unfortunately had no available time to go inside. The architecture is rather good and can only imagine what the interior is like. Perhaps...More

On the nice square di Giuseppe Verdi is the important Palazzo delle Poste of La Spezia. it's a most imposing building, all in stone, with a tower and a clock on it. Like all monuments and palazzos in La Spezia, it's very nice.

The building was designed by Angelo Mazzoni and inaugurated in 1933. It is a massive and imposing structure, a perfect example of the architectural style typical for that historic period.
