From the heart of the City to the heights on a very steep funicular, via a few short intermediate stops. If you have an AMT travel ticket, this ride is included free. Good panoramic views from the top, but not a lot else to do...More

Fun and efficient trip up to the hills on the outskirts of Genoa. Views are great, but there’s not a massive amount to see in the immediate vicinity once you arrive at the top (beyond the views of course). There is a fort which you...More

While the funicular ride itself was fun (and very cheap), when we got to the top, the view across the Genoa seascape was disappointing in that it was blotted out by trees and buildings for the most part. At the rear, the views towards the...More

We were eager to take a ride with the funicular System put in place for the first time 120 years ago. Cheap ticket, friendly staff, comfortable ride. The view up top is fantastic. This is not related to the amt, but it would be useful...More

It's definitely worth taking a funicular up to the last stop. There's a view from the deck but it's worth to walk about 5minutes (to street heading upwards) where you'll get a full panoramic view of the city and harbor.

This gem would be so easy to miss if I hadn't read about it already on TripAdvisor as the entrance is pretty well hidden in a little side street. For the price of the standard 1.50e 100 minute ticket you get to ride up the...More

Riding up the inside of the hill through a tunnel in a small car then emerging and climbing through several stops to the top of Genoa is great fun. The view at the top, even on an overcast day is breathtaking. And the price of...More

Fantastic view from the top. A lovely experience for the children to travel on the funicolare. Fabulous value for money - return trip in 100 mins cost for a family of 6 €9.

If you want to get above the city for a great view then take the funicular up to Righi. You can buy a 100 minute return ticket for just 1.50 Euro. If you like a bit of a hike I'd recommend that once at the...More

A fun and relaxing way to see Genoa and the surrounding countryside. Buy tickets from the tobacconist shops.
