Great engineering and something your not likely to see again. And, it's practical. A way to get up the hill to see the great view, the Castle and the museum. The trip on the elevator can transport you back in time when explorers left from...More

You get into a small car, that allegedly can carry 23 people! A long flat stretch is followed by a vertical ascent of some 70 metres. Very unusual. Great experience. There were engineering students at the site to learn about its function. At the top...More

It starts off as a mini tram and half way through its journey becomes a lift. A clever way to get up the hillside. Worth using just for the experience or the castle and views from the top. Not a long ride - for that...More

This is a special elevator that first goes horizontally, before it moves vertically. Never seen such a thing any other place in the world. It is already older but still worth to see.

Just like in Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator! Unmissable. At the top you can walk along to the Funicular Righi for more great views.

So I won't go into the details of the mechanics of the lift as that's covered elsewhere, but my 3 year old son was amazed by the fact the lift when sideways and up. The lift is cheap to use and also practical- many will...More

Used this to get to the castle and it's a lovely ride. Well worth doing and not expensive. Comes out in the street opposite the castle, so you can't get lost.

Yes it's a lift. Seats and stands about 8 people, no the view at the top is not brilliant but it is the only lift that goes along level ground for about 600 meters and then slots in a rack and goes up about 60...More

Lift is located near the principe station and can be classed as something different. Starts off horizontally then switches to vertical. At he top you can visit the castle and museum or take in the views
