It seems like there is a statue or monument to this great general in every city or village in Italy. This one stands in a small park. We found a café and enjoyed the view.

Interesting little square with old men sitting having a glass or two of the local wine. Not sure if there are more to see around it as we just passed by while driving.

This statue is in the main square of the old town and you can't miss Giuseppe Garibaldi, the man who is claimed to have unified Italy, as he overlooks his surrounds. I wouldn't go to this town especially to see this, but it's a nod...More

Garibaldi was the man - he brought the country together so he is revered everywhere. Here is a statue of him in Monterosso al Mare. It's cool to see when you're from Canada, a place without a lot of statues!

This is a fun statute to view as you walk the city, but it isn't worth a special trip ti see it. Grab a gelato, wander the city, and stop for a moment to view this gent.

Statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi with the background of the nice colored facades of the old town houses. Surrounded by buzzing cafe and restaurant life. The statue itself is one of the less impressive I've seen of Garibaldi. He even looks like a small man, not...More

The monument is in Piazza Garibaldi in old town Monterosso, so a nice easy walk, but it certainly isn't worth making a special trip just to see the statue.
