We visited on a hot day arriving by train. There is the option of the shuttle bus up (assuming of course you have "validated" your 16 euro day train pass) but we chose to walk up and down. As others have noted the steps are...More

We were in Corniglia for a tour that hiked us around all the grapes. Fortunately for us, the tour dropped us at the top and we hiked down. Once in town we had to go another 300 and something steps to get to the train...More

These stairs are elongated, so not as tough as many of the flights of steps you encounter in the Cinque Terre. There is a bench (maybe two) along the way, and the views are great. However, to really enjoy it, I suggest taking the shuttle...More

These steps just minutes away from the train station is a nice challenge for many. I just wished the reward at the top is equally worth it. Corniglia is my least favorite land in all of Cinque Terre. We train hopped to each of the...More

385, to be exact. You'll be ready for a cold beverage when you reach the top! There are lots of people making the trek from the train station to Corniglia.

Climb up these steps to get to a wonderful view. Just pace yourself and look back down at the view on your way up and you shouldn't get tired.

To me, the 365 steps gateway to heaven's view is one of the best attractions in Corniglia. Each step represents one day of a full calendar year and it is one of the best form of exercises. If you are not fit physically to do...More

Walk up the "365" stairs from the station to the town. Its easy enough if you are in shape. I am in my 50s and exercise on a regular basis so climbed them without a problem. Or you can take the shuttle bus to the...More

We always did these in the dark, when we returned by train, after a day of hiking. There are many, but unlike most places, they are fairly even and have a solid railing. There is a shuttle you can take instead, but it may be...More
