This castle really was built for defence. It has to be one of the highest points in Trieste and gives stupendous views over the city. Well worth a visit but go by bus - there is a regular service and it si cheap.

If you travel in Trieste you have to visit this castle not only for what it contains but also for the sight it offers. The castle has a bar and also a museum inside it.

Castello di San Giusto in Trieste This Castle standing proudly high over the town and overlooking the coast of Trieste. The walk to the entrance is rather long and contains some climbing up for the narrow streets when approaching from the Via S. Michele, so...More
