An impressive campanile, it helps to anchor an imaginary triangle with the cemetery and basilica. It is one of the tallest structures in the area and there is some notable artwork visible from the base.

We did not climb to the top as stairs are narrow and there is nothing to hang on to but it is worth a look for the mosaics in the tower base

Good attraction. Steps are a bit slippery so be careful. We found the climb quite challenging, but at least we had the opportunity to grab a quick refreshment after.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The Roman town of Aquileia had been recommended by others so we visited on our way back to Venice airport. Wow! What immense history, what beautiful mosaics, what scale, and what a special atmosphere. There are...More

We climbed this tower in the morning and enjoyed the view. The only drawback was that the bells started to sound while we were in the bell tower without any warning.
