The recently refurbished rectangular Piazza Roma is in my opinion, next to the Piazza Grande, the second most beautiful square of Modena. The square is dominated by the awesome Palazzo Ducale and was during era of the duchy as a place for official celebrations, performances...More

Piazza Roma looks wonderful after renovation. Imposing Baroque facade of Palazzo Ducale and bright red and yellow houses facing it create vibrant eye catching contrast. Great place to start your tour of Modena!

a really beautiful place, I suggest you visit during an evening stroll. The buildings are beautifully illuminated. Fountains gushing from the earth square. A Kosek in the alley from the square there are many restaurants with excellent cuisine.

Moderna is a beautiful city and Piazza Roma is very impressive and has been beautifully maintained/restored as only the Italians know how to do.
