Finally got to go in a church whilst being in Italy & I’m glad it happened to be in Modena, such a kind helper from the church gave my girlfriend a piece of material to cover her legs to go into church.

The grandeur of the Duomo is beyond words - a must when visiting Milan. Sit in the Square with a coffee and enjoy the sight.

We had hoped to see more of the interior but only two small sections are currently open to the public. We found both, more by accident than design, as there is no signage to direct people to both the usable entrances. Walk round the rather...More

This cathedral is a place of quiet and grandeur. The chapel which contains Giotto paintings and containing the grave of a local silk merchant is worth a visit as it contains vey old murals depicting the three Magi leaving by boat!

I was stricken by the age of the church dating back 900 years and by its unblemished original Romanesque style. Truly worth to visit.

The Duomo is a masterpiece, a really special one. The beauty of the façade shocked me at first sight, after that the carved stones began to tell stories leading back to the fourth, eleventh and thirteenth centuries. The waving textures, forms and colors in the...More

We think about 11€ each. Purchase at the front ticket office in front of the Duomo - but walk around to the rear entrances.
