The tilting spire is mesmerising but as you enter the Duomo you are confronted with scaffolding to the roof. Still, it's worth a visit to the chapel behind the alter.

Lovely church with nice old artworks. Restoration goinng on everywhere so there was not much left for us to see. But, when the work is done, I believe it will be fascinating. Much more interesting than the big cathedrals.

Wonderful stone carvings ... often of dreadful events (being eaten by lions!). The central part of the Duomo is being renovated but you can still appreciate the height and the stonework, in particularly a stone screen of Saints on the side wall. Services take place...More

When you go to Modena, you can't miss seeing the Duomo. It's truly lovely. We went at night, when it was closed, but it's great to just walk around and admire the architecture.

Romanesque style cathedral with beautiful columns and arches. It is currently under renovation, so we were not able to see the entire inside, but what we did see was stunning. Peaceful space and worth the time to visit.

We think about 11€ each. Purchase at the front ticket office in front of the Duomo - but walk around to the rear entrances.
