The focus of the museum is to explain the role of italian/bolognan resistance in WW 2. But it does so much more than this. For me (a rather ignorant 60+ English woman) it helped me understand what happened in Europe before the war with Mussolini...More
We found this totally by accident and were absolutely blown away by this marvellous little gem.
It doesn’t take long (about an hour, tops) to go through the rooms and every display panel is translated on handouts into multiple languages (including English obviously)
A small museum but very interesting for those who love modern history, especially for those who don't forgive and don't forget the crimes made by nazism and fascism. Knowing the "small history" of the partisan movement in Bologna area is one thing. The other is...More
We happened on this place by chance and I'm so glad we did. It is only open in the afternoons from 3.30 -6.00 and on Saturday mornings.

Worthy of your time if you are interested in WWII history as it affected parts of Italy. The museum is small and staffed for limited hours by volunteers. The exhibits are multi-lingual and the progression of hostilities and resistance is easy to follow. We were...More

We've visited resistance museums throughout Europe. This is an excellent one. Definitely worth a visit because it takes a more individual/personal view of the Resistance. Although many of the exhibits are in Italian only, you still have a sense of what individuals went through as...More

we thank you a lot for your positive review, and we are glad you appreciated the trip inside our Museum. We just need to point out that every room, just close to the entrance, is equipped with complete english translations of the exhibits,...More
This museum is a must for anyone interested in the modern history of Bologna and Italy. You can't really understand Italy if you don't understand the period 1943-1945 and the role of the resistance movement in the liberation of the country. The museum explains the...More
