The Terrazza Panoramica is a viewing area above the Basilica di San Petronio in Bologna. It is accessed from a lift outside the rear of the Basilica. The cost is 3 Euros for adults - children are free. This a bit of a building site...More

3 euros for a lift ride that will take you to a viewing terrace to look over Bologna and surrounding area. A good clear day when we were there so very enjoyable.

This panoramic terrace is situated alongside the impressive basilica in central Bologna. It's actually a scaffolding structure built onto the wall, and reaches approx 53m which is a decent height for views (although pales in comparison to the Asnielli's 97m). It does only cost 3EUR...More

You can access the scaffolding (as it turns out, the viewing point is not located on a terrace! 😯) by a lift, but first you need to pay the entrance fee and sign some silly papers. I would prefer this to be a real terrace,...More

No need to climb hundreds of steps in claustrophobic conditions. Just take this freight elevator up to the top of the Basilica. Entrance is outside the church around the back. Look for the scaffolding, and in the corner is a small entrance area with signage....More

For 3 Euros you can ride in the construction site elevator close to roof level of the Basilica and get a great view of the city. You get an unobstructed panorama that stretches from the Santuario Madonna di San Luca and San Michele in Bosco...More

From the top of this small terrace just behind the Basilica San Petronio, you can have a look to Bologna from the top, and its surroundings hills. Just 3 € to get on with a little unstable elevator (the Basilica is under restoration) and then...More
