Spread over two floors in the Ducal palace, the museum has some fine pieces and gives a sense of the sophistication and achievement of Duke Federico. He was a true Renaissance prince and epitomized the qualities extolled by Erasmus and others for the ideal ruler....More

The National Gallery of the Marche is located in the Palazzo Ducale of Urbino. Its collection cannot compete with the big museums in Florence, Paris, London or Vienna, but Urbino is a small jewel of the Italian renaissance with 8000 inhabitants and it is definitely...More

Impressive art displayed within the Ducal Palace. I have just written a review under the palace listing as didn't realise the gallery had a separate listing.

The Galleria Nazionale is located inside the Palazzo Ducale, an architectural masterpiece built by Luciano Lauren e Francesco di Giorgio Martini, two of the greatest Renaissance architects for Duke Federico da Montefeltro in the fifteenth century. The highlights of the collection are "La Muta", a...More

Part of the ticket for the Palazzo Ducale - the Galleria helps bring additional life to the enormous space of the Ducal Palace. Your may come to see the Raphael or the Piero della Francesca Flagellation of Christ - but up on the second floor...More
