It wasn't until I stood in front of the School of Athens by Italian Renaissance artist Raphael that I finally understood its massive size. This is a WALL of art that is definitely something to see when visiting the Vatican Museum.

There is so much to admire at the Vatican museum, much more than seeing the Sistine chapel. The Raphael Rooms are four rooms that has frescoes painted by Raphael that are wonderful to admire.

To get the most out of your visit get a tour guide unless you’re a art history buff, otherwise you won’t appreciate the artwork the way you should

This is a masterpiece of the artist Raffaello. Go with a guide to appreciate fully the Raphael rooms. We loved them. It is a part of the Vatican museum, as the Sixtine chapel, both are in the same entry ticket. Colorful and detail works. Really...More

What a set of rooms for Raphael to demonstrate his mastery of the painted art. All the characters were lifelike and the stories been told is a treat for history nuts. It is not to be missed if you are in the Vatican.

They are somewhat easy to miss if you just head directly to the Sistine Chapel but please don't forget to visit them! They hold some masterpieces of painting and they are actually only second to Sistine Chapel when you visit the Vatican Museums.

A must see when in Roma! It was particularly crowded the day of our guided tour, which was worthwhile having the guide. Raphael’s frescoes are amazing. The colors so vibrant!!

Visiting the Vatican Museum you will ''travel'' through history in the Raphael Rooms, the Pope apartements with the Raphale Frescos. The rooms are the Sala di Costantino ("Hall of Constantine"), the Stanza di Eliodoro ("Room of Heliodorus"), the Stanza della Segnatura ("Room of the Signatura")...More

The full ticket price is €16. There are reductions for concessions. I would seriously advise you to consider buying your ticket online to avoid the long queues at the ticket office - you can do this at the Vatican Museum... More
