Neighbourhood: Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.

I was fortunate to be here for Christmas Mass one Year, the church is so charming, decorated so Beautifully for Christmas, the Parish people are beautiful, the Priest gave a beautiful Homily ( Italian ) the Presepio inside the back of the church was more Beautiful than the Vatican displayed, more authentic.
even if you don't speak Italian, you can follow the mass.
I highly recommend.

Most people walk right by; take a moment to step inside. From the outside, it's just"another building" you pass walking in Vatican City. Once inside, however, you are struck by the elegance this beautiful church offers.

Most of the art work within the Vatican is more than n average individual can put words to. To think how it was competed and the time it took.

This is another church we have been curious to see, especially since it sits in Vatican City. We came on Sunday when we knew it would be open. We had to pass in front of the Swiss guards to enter the church and were so pleased to see them stopping people from entering the church who were not dressed properly. (You must always have your shoulders and knees covered to enter Catholic churches in Rome.) This church is dedicated to Saint Anne, mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The church is the parish church of the Vatican City State; is placed under the jurisdiction of the Vicariate of the Vatican City; and is located beside the Porta Sant'Anna, an international border crossing between Vatican City State and Italy - thus the Swiss guards. There was a service taking place, so we could not linger. The church is lovely in its simplicity.

Located along the Vatican walls right outside St. Peter's Square, (look for the gate along the road leading to the Vatican Museums guarded by Swiss guards), this small church dedicated to Saint Anne offers pilgrims a quiet place for prayer and meditation. The place is quite small and doesn't really have much to offer. But it's worth a visit, at least, for a brief spiritual respite during your hectic stroll in the eternal city.

We had our wedding at Sant'Anna in September 2017 and we couldn't have wished for any more.
the church itself is beautiful and has an interesting history, the staff and clergy were very helpful throughout the whole process.
I'd encourage anyone visiting Rome to drop in on this incredible little church

My fiancé and I would really like to have our wedding at Sant'Anna dei Palafrenieri, but we haven't been able to contact the church through their website (it doesn't work properly) or over the phone, since we don't speak Italian. Is there an email where I can reach them?

Is there and english mass on Sundays?

Here is what I found before I went to see this church. Yes, there is an English Mass on Sunday at 3:30 PM.
Weekdays. Mass at 7:00 (with Lauds), 8:00, 9:00, 18:00 (with Vespers, and Rosary before starting at 17:30).
On Fridays, there is Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 17:00, the welfare of families being the intention except on the first Friday of the month when it is for vocations.
Sundays and solemnities. Mass at 7:00, 8:30, 10:00, 11:00, 12:15, 15:30 (in English), 18:00 (with Vespers, and Rosary beforehand at 17:30).
Note the Mass in English. The Masses at the church are popular with pilgrims, especially those who find the crowds in St Peter's disturbing.
Enjoy your trip!
