The food is good and a bit different than traditional Italian food. Good quality and nice service. Price is acceptable and there is a long list of local wines. I recommend for couples not for families with kids.

What an amazing place! The assortment of meats, cheeses, sides, wines, and olive oils was fantastic. We were looking for some local wines and Italian olive oils to take home, and the staff really took their time to find out our likes, and to explain...More

I was looking for a bar to kill some time before my chosen restaurant opened. Saw the taverna sign next to Volpetti, is there a better deli anywhere. Went in but the kitchen was closed between lunch and dinner service. Offered a cold platter of...More

It was fun visiting and buying a few things: Gorgonzola, chèvre, crottin. I enjoyed the slightly crazy Italian ticket/server/cashier system. The produce was good quality but honestly it's at least twice as expensive as it should be. Good for a one-off visit, no more.

Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio,
an ancient Roman port and former working class
