This is an interesting feature that is located right beside the Domus Augustus, which is essential to visit for anyone interested in ancient roman history. There are some major question marks as to whether it actually was a stadium of any sort. In fact it...More

The Palatine Stadium, an important sector of the Flavian Palace, was a hippodromus meaning an exercise yard for horses originally, but this one became a garden with paths and flower beds. This hippodrome is 160 x 48m and this is one of the best views...More

This back section of the Roman Forum, over Palintine Hill, needs an hour at least in your visit to explore, with exceptional views over Circus Maximus

The stadium is situated within the palace complex atop Palatine Hill. The ruins are such that you can imagine what the stadium looked like. In the artist rendering, the stadium was lined with a 2-story portico on either side with the East side. The remnants...More

On the Palatine Hill lies the remains of the Hippodrome of Domitian (the Palatine Stadium). While too small for chariot races (which occurred at the nearby Circus Maximus), this complex was used for other forms of entertainment for the emperor. We strolled by as part...More

Located not too far from the colosseum this is a collection of ancient rome artifacts. They also had a collection of modern art pieces that we did not care for. Waste of 24 euro in my opinion
