Looking through the keyhole you see 3 countries. Malta, Italy and the vactican. However when we turned up there was a que took ages to get down and the view was ok. My advice is if passing go see it but don’t go there especially...More

It’s a keyhole, with a nicely trimmed hedge and a view to the dome of St. Peter’s. The walk is uphill from the disappointing Circus Maximus, walking past a few nice gardens/parks. The highlight of the walk was a black cat sleeping on the wall...More

A bit of a hike to reach as it is off the main tourist trail, but well worth it, a small queue which soon moved and we were rewarded with the beautiful view of St. Peter's basilica.

Take a night tour an ask your driver to take you to this keyhole! Take your time looking through the keyhole and pay attention to the detail and absolute scale of what your eyes behold! We visited this site in June 2006 and never forgot...More

A keyhole view of St. Peter dome. Nice if you got time and live around Trastevere (as I did) so it took me around 30min walk during August weather (so hot). I would say it is a cool thing but not spectacular, just do this...More

This was such a little treat. My friend took us there and didn’t tell us what it was and it was such a lovely surprise and certainly something you should do that’s off the beaten track.

I don't understand why people research what they're going to see before visiting things. It is just a keyhole! HOWEVER The keyhole is one of Rome's more intriguing sights. We really enjoyed the view of Rome ft Saint Peter’s Basilica, a real alternative attractions in the...More

This is a small piazza a little out of the center where you can look through a keyhole and see St. Peter's dome. There are often a long line of tourists to see this (if is free) so at most you may get a one...More

This is a unique novelty viewpoint located on the Aventine Hill about twenty minutes walk from the Palatine Hill. It is a cleverly designed view through an avenue of trees to St Peters Basilica. However be aware that as you are looking through a small...More

Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is
Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork
of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and
embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the
vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around
the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of
surprises like the clever little keyhole at the
Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find

No visits to the garden are allowed. I would also have liked to visit. But go down the road Santa Sabina towards Circus Maximus. Just next to the Basicila di Santa Sabina is the Garden of Oranges. There is a panoramic view... More

Also unclear as to question.... It's probably MUCH too long a walk from Piazza Navona. It wouldn't be so far from Circo Massimo / Circus Maximus, though. Maybe you should consult a map. ;) Did you know that Google Maps can... More
