Admire the 3 works of Caravaggio dedicated to St Matthew - in the chapel left of the altar. This is way better than an overcrowded museum ! You can marvel at Caravaggio's famous clair-obscur technique and see the paintings at the location where they were...More

This baroque era church is very easy to overlook because of it's simple exterior and proximity to the Pantheon. While currently going through some interior renovation, the marble of various colors makes the interior artwork that much more impressive.

When heading for Pantheon, don't miss this beautiful baroque church - it's just 100m away. It was completed in 1699 - it took 70 years to complete it.

Beautiful and atmospheric church which was really quite special, it was co-incidental that a friend of mine had just suffered a heart attack and this church contained the tomb of Saint Camillus, who dedicated his life to helping the sick. We lit a candle in...More

Yes. I don’t know what the hours are, but I did get to go in there yesterday when I came back after 4:00 pm. It’s lovely. (I’m staying at a hotel across the street.)
