I always wanted to visit this church especially for Bernini’s sculpture. It’s a small church but it’s gorgeous. L’estasi di Santa Teresa it’s breathtaking; even though it is under renovation, it is still beautiful

Definitely visit this beautiful church to see Barnini's masterpiece. It's a bit tricky to find as not very prominent but absolutely worth the visit. Breathtaking.

The most famous there is the sculpture Estasi di santa Teresa d'Avila by Bernini. The church is small and it located a little far from well known tourist places.

Not so visited (compared to other churches in Rome) - but worth the trip. The church is relatively small, but every surface is covered with great art. It "hides" a beautiful Bernini sculpture (Ecstasy of Saint Teresa), and every small chapel is decorated with paintings...More

A beautiful little church. "St. Teresa in Ecstasy" is incredible in person. The walk from Colosseum area to here is nice. A must for any fan of Bernini!

Favorite church in Rome. It is small but so well adorned. Every corner and wall has a beautiful art. A must see in Rome.

I am not an arrogant and I realize that this is the quintessence of baroque style and every free surface is filled with decorations and many of them are beautifully made but in Rome there are many similar places. You can step by if you...More

It is said that this church, built in the early 17th century by the Discalced Carmelites, was named as such in remembrance of a miraculous event that happened during a war near Prague between the Catholics and the their adversaries in 1620. The former's victory...More

Displaying the Bernini masterpiece "The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa", depicting an angel piercing her heart with a shaft, during which she felt great pain and joy, is what gets the punters in and is definitely the highlight of the visit. However the church itself is...More
