Rich in history and very well worthwhile if you are in Rome. The only minor distraction are the professional beggars that stand outside asking for money. I hAve visited on over 10 occasions and they are always there chasing and preying upon tourists.

Stooped here on our way into Rome before dropping off our car. This is a very serene and holy place. If you are a Christian, this should be on your list of stops while in Rome!

As a Christian I could not miss this place. To visit the place where the Apostle Paul was beheaded for his Christian beliefs was a humbling experience. It's not on the tourist map and we went out of our way to visit the Tre Fontane....More

I can state the obvious at to what this is and how important, but I prefer to simply state that the multiple churches and the Trappist beer vastly exceeded my expectations. It is off the usual tourist path, so some practical information follows. Get to...More

One of the few Cistercian monasteries in Rome. It is mainly visited by reli-tourists, but art and architecture lovers will be rewarded too. Great piece of architecture, the main church.

Nice place surrounded by nature and small walking path. Has frescoes inside and it is an interesting place to visit if you have time. For those who like churches and history.

We went with our tour group and I will recommend a visit to anyone traveling to Rome. The Abbey is a short drive outside the Roman wall. You can feel the reverence and serenity as you experience the final journey of St. Paul.
