Neighbourhood: Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.

Me and my friend had travelled through all the italy. Ended up in Rome for 4 nights and we were licky that on of our friends showed thos bar to us! Been there three nights in a row. Super atmosphere, always busy after dinner, friendly and informative staff, nice music, just loved the outside area. Will be back! Plus its not expensive if you are on low budget. Per glass of wine/spumante/spritz - 5€.!

To start with the place is a dump and we should have walked away just when we saw the untouched frozen pizza that the table next to us left being leaving.
On the menu the Wine is priced 5eur. Needless to precise it was the worst
Wine I ever ordered. The best comes with the check. The first check brought to us was 10eur. I gave 20 to the waiter who brought me back 8 eur just mentioning on the side that it was 6eur a glass and no longer 5eur as mentioned 10mins before. I was about to leave but decided to ask why it was now 6eur a glass despite the fact it was written 5 eur per glass on the wall and on the menus... Answer I received was "morning prices...". So, naively I asked what time was morning starting. 5pm was I answered... Then when I asked the second teenager playing the role of "boss" or cashier I was told it was for the service (which is included in prices... Although you are always welcome to extra tip an amazing waiter...). To wrap it up, these people are just students trying to rip you off in a place probably as dirty as it gets and god knows I love the east village... Simply to AVOID. Any other bar in the street had better wine, crowd and many times good aperitif food menu.
Instead, Try places like "Propaganda" etc...

Great corner in Rome to hang out with friends and have drinks. Busy but still OK to get drinks or use toilet, friendly staff and great mojitos (with and without alcohol). Expect to stand outside since it usually is VERY busy and full. Only drawback is that drinks are served in plastic "glasses".

This Bar is located in the Piazza Del Fico. If you are willing to be away from tourists during your visit in Rome, I highly recommend you to stop at this bar.

Great local bar in perfect little piazza. Casual atmosphere, cool scene. Seemed like nearly all Romans, happily drinking and talking outside.

We knew about the place from tripadvisor, travel guides and the hotel stuff who highly recommended it. So we decided to visit it, but on the first night we arrived there the place was full and we had to make reservation for next evening. So if you are going to visit it make sure you reserve a table.

When we arrived we really liked the atmosphere: its fun, unique and really cool. The restaurant was full again and we were the only tourists there that made the whole experience even better. We were seated near the open kitchen where we could see all the chefs cooking amazing food.

We had a problem with reading menu because it was all in Italian and the stuff was not that helpful. We had to ask almost about each dish to understand what is it. Finally we chose roman style pasta with tomato sauce, bacon and cheese as an appetizer(it was ok, but not wow), and a famous local steak as a main dish with rosemary baked potatoes on a side. And the steak was really amazing!!! It was so perfectly cooked with no extra sauce or dressing, but only by itself it was magical taste.

The house wine was really wow, even better then many famous bottled wines.

So my advise is to go there for sure, because it is really one of its kind experience in Rome.

We were hosted here by a native couple - what a treat! Our reservations were at 10 for dinner - it was packed with couples and small groups. Definitely make reservations especially on a Friday or Saturday night. There was a great high energy atmosphere. The servers were hustling and very attentive. I loved the cacio e pepe and the husband raved about the carbonara. I noted that some of the reviews complained about the portion size and I completely disagree. They will not serve you a pound of pasta but a normal individual portion. Quality food, quality service, quality wine selection, great atmosphere - loved it!

great bar, on a small square just 3 minutes off Piazza Navona - nice snack and good wine and, amazingly, almost no tourists there, so also a great service and no rip off !

We stumbled upon this place on an amble back from visiting the Vatican. What an inspired find! Just off the touristy and expensive Piazza Navonna, this place is cool and quirky with really fantastic freshly made food. We loved this place so much we came back later in our visit. If we hadn't had 14 year old son in tow, we'd have gone back in the evening as the place had a great vibe. Go here even if you just have a swift Prosecco and watch the world go by and the locals play chess.
