This area is home to the remains of the Imperial Palace and numerous other buildings. Atop the hill affords great views of the Foro Romano, Circo Massimo. A fantastic place to walk around and imagine what royal life was like. It is a climb to...More

Vast palace complex with hippodrome and private houses. Unfortunately, not as well-known as the next-door Forum and Coliseum, but to my opinion it was the best visit of the three. I bought the combined €18.00 ticket for Forum/Palatino/Coliseum in the morning, with audio for Palatino,...More

We came to Palatine Hill as part of a tour. You get a good view of the Roman forum. Having a guide meant we saw more than just ruins but got to hear that the area contained palaces for the families of the great and...More

We visited the hill with a tour of the Colosseum that included this too. There is a lot of history here so it’s good to know it to understand what you see.

These ruins are beside the Stadio and offer commanding views over Circus Maximus. The restoration work should also be complimented, not overdone

An equally massive area to the Roman Forum, this uphill area is accessed via the same ticket one uses to gain admittance to the Forum, in a single combined ticket. Makes sense, the areas together form a huge archaeological complex. The Palatine Hill offers more...More

The Palatine Hill in Rome is by far one of the most awe inspiring places I've ever been. I have always had a love affair with mythology that turned into history. The birthplace of Romulus and Remus, the palaces, the arches all speak to a...More

If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here.
Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very

ancient beginnings to its 21st century
transformations. Whether it’s those historical
playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or
the side-street shops, trattorie, and churches, this
