Beautifully renovated in 2014. Can be very crowded during the day. It is a more spectacular sight at night.

This historic fountain is actually fairly small, and not incredibly impressive. It is worth a 'pass by', but do not plan on spending more than a few minutes here...there just is not that much to see.

You can’t miss the Trevi Fountain. It was so much larger than we expected. Great place to sit, eat gelato and take it all in.

Unfortunately we went on a busy Saturday when a lot of people had the same idea! Beautiful though. Glad we went- it’s hidden down a few back paths so quite difficult if your unsteady on your feet.

Walked past 3 times at various different timings in the day and it did not seem any less busy whether it was first thing in the morning or at night Didn't stay long

This tops them all as far as interest in fountains etc. It is just a magnificent piece of work. Always crowded and somewhat difficult to get good pics. Throw a coin over your shoulder for good luck.

This place is beautiful but it’s ridiculous as to how many thousands of people are all gathered around this one fountain. Definitely not a place for strollers or little kids

A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is
all about action. From early morning through the wee
hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a
never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or
take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming
gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of
hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle
are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you

Hi Christine, The fountains appear to be on all year round, however they do stop them to clean them and remove the coins, which are then given to charity. The times for this I don’t know but looking online suggests early... More

I was worried before we went but we walked all over Rome and felt 100% safe all the time, well apart from when crossing the road. Those drivers are crazy but that’s another story.
