Thoroughly recommend this as an area to stay whilst you visit Rome. You are within 30 minutes walking of all major attractions with easy access to trams and buses. Metro trains are a little harder to come by, but once again, within walking distance. At...More

The best restaurants are there! And with cheaper prices than the rest of the city center. Also some good bars and pubs for casual drinks.

Nice to walk in the narrow stedets, eat or have a glass og wine at one of the many small restaurants in the area.

We had all been to Rome a few times before and headed back to Trastevere for another wander round the area and had a spot of lunch @ Sabatini - lovely pasta but not cheap.

What a fun area of Rome! We stayed here on our most recent trip to Rome. I would highly suggest it. It was lively and fun and full of great places to eat.

Trastevere is a very nice area in Rome. The narrow streets, the restaurants, the colours. No one should miss this place

Don’t let tourism videos and reviews here fool you. Trastevere literally smells like garbage and urine. Very disappointed how little the locals keep their city clean.

Wander the streets...get lost in the atmosphere. Pull up a stool at the Antico Caffe Del Moro. Very enjoyable staff. Antonella is friendly and willing to attempt to speak English as you attempt to speak Italian. It was great fun. Loved her. Ask her to...More

streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable

Hello, if you are looking for a big open-air market, please visit Campo de Fiori Market by Giordano Bruno's sculpture. Trastevere mostly shops and restaurants.
