Yes, the Leonardo Express is a bit more expensive than taking other trains/metro, but as a tourist it is very easy to use and saves you valuable vacation time. I would do it again if I visiting Rome in the future.

The LE is a quick and easy ride from central Rome directly to the airport. You may purchase tickets directly from the ticket machine in the terminal.

Traveling by public transportation anywhere in Italy is a risk of course, pickpockets are everywhere, at the train stations, on the trains, and mainly on the buses. Maximum care is necessary, particularly if you look foreign, or are female, or senior. As a 65+ year...More

It’s really easy and good value to use the train to travel to and from the airport. All the ticket machines can be used in many languages so you don’t need to go to the booths. You just need to remember to validate your ticket.

Easy to buy tickets on the spot and with enough Trenitalia Staff(who speak English) available to assist on any query, this 32 minute ride is a foolproof way of getting to/from the airport. It may not be the cheapest though at 14 Euros a head,...More

Reliable and reasonable way to reach Fiumicino Airport Rome from Rome Termini and vice versa. Ticket can be obtained from ticket machines right in front of Platform 23 and 24 of Roma Termini. Leonardo express departs from platform 23 and 24 of Roma Termini.

Happy for the price with the speed, ease of use and cleanliness of the Leonardo Express. Got us into Rome in 32 minutes for €15 (we accidentally bought from a third-party kiosk at the airport). Highly recommended.

The Leonardo Express runs on all public holdays, it's a guaranteed service. It also runs if there is a transport strike (possibly by a replacement bus service). Cheers
