Great area to wander around, a lot less crowded than historic centre, seemed to be mainly locals which gave it a great feel. There was an amazing gelato place just off the piazza, amazing. Lots of big name and smaller shops too.

Cute little neibourhood off the funicular uphill. Very safe neighborhood to visit. Plenty of café and Gelato shops. Highly recommended.

A typical and vibrant Piazza out of the city surrounded on all sides by , shops and Gelatti vendors. Easy to get to by Metro (line 1 ) For a greater and more interesting experience use one of the 3 funicular (cable car) lines ,each one to and from a different area of the city and all within around 100 metres. Walk up to Castel St Elmo nearby for probably the best view over the city. Well worth a visit any time of day.…

Piazza Vanvitelli is a lovely area in a great setting. We went there by train. We walked around the surrounding streets and visited cafes and other shops. It is a place where you can walk around and not get tired. Really beautiful. There are some spectacular views also.
