After visiting Capri we disembarked and started making our way to the steps upto piazza tasso when a couple we were talking to said why not catch the lift ? So we did , €1.00 each and worth every penny, saved a lot of time and effort. No hesitation in recommending.

I mean what can you say, it’s a lift that takes you from the beach to the top of the hill. The lowest you can get for a holiday I guess but it will get you there, I mean you are eating the most wonderful pasta all this time in Italy and you should probably burn it off by taking the stairs.... Steins of a Peroni at the top for €15

These lifts are great as its a long and hilly walk from the port to the top. Our hotel also had a private one. This one is more for public use.

Good value ($$) wise. Seats are on the small size so that might be an issue for some. (Plenty of room on the seat for an average adult + a smaller child.)
