A lovely historic place that is busy with traffic most of the day....lots of pizza and spaghetti restaurants to choose from. Look around Sorrento the old streets are worth an amble along.

This is the center of the activities! Was there during the 2018 Christmas lighting. Tons of people, great lights, music, etc! Energy galore!

We chose Sorrento as our base for exploring the Amalfi coast and of course Pompeii, and ended up enthralled with the town and atmosphere. We stayed out late every night just walking the streets, people watching from cafes and of course, dining. This town is...More

I had a hard time finding reviews about visiting Sorrento in November before booking my trip. Now after having been, I can say confidently that it is worth the visit at that time. We went Nov 1s thru Nov 8th and stayed at an apt...More

This is where all of the tourist tend to end up. Lots of restaurants and shopping. I spent the first day in Sorrento visiting this area, it's a good starting point to get the lay of the land. Do venture out to the other areas...More

Why everyone comes here I’m not sure. It’s expensive and over-rated. Marina Grande is quieter and much more pleasant. Get out of Piazza Tasso and explore!

While in Sorrento for four days we used Piazza Tasso to orient us to all that goes on in the City. It is the main square, surrounded by restaurants, a church, shops and a beautiful view of the harbor below. If fact, we ate dinner...More

Lovely piazza. Much busier than we thought it would be for October. Lots of cafes etc. Watch out for the drivers....we were given a tip...don't look at the vehicle/bike..they will know you are there. Just walk...don't stop or turn round either!

Have your Sorrento hotel book a limo. Roads can be confusing otherwise. Relax & enjoy ride. Our driver was great. He stopped at a lemoncello store on the way in. 90euros for the ride but well worth it. There were 4 of us... More
