The day was magical. Fortunately for our group, the Grotto Azzurra was opened after it was closed for several days. Our tour guide was excellent. She was very organised and experienced, could anticipate how busy the place would get and kept us ahead of the crowd...provided that everyone in the group listens. Everyone whom I spoke to in our group really enjoyed the day! It’s definitely worth doing. Eat at Capri as Anacapri is expensive. One of those experiences that you have to do at least once in your life... After waiting for 1.5 hours & coughing up over 30 euros per person for the entire experience we finally made it in to the grotto. The colours are amazing & for the couple of minutes we were we inside the experience was amazing. Glad i finally ticked this off but happy to not go back again. Not one for the impatient travellers!…

The place is nice but you don't need to go in 5 small circles inside the cave. After leaving the cave, the boat person refused to let us board our main boat to rejoin our group until we pay him 10 euros each. Only when we paid him some money are we allowed to board our main boat and return to Capri. Take note.…

We took the boat tour around the island which was about 2 hours, little more. But very nice views and great picture opportunities. However, getting to the Grotto was then a 1.30-2 hour wait. We noticed though there were steps going down to the Grotto off the rocks on the side with a line. Turns out you can take the bus to the Grotto. We did this later in the day around 4pm and there was no line, we were in and out in total in about 20 minutes. However in the Grotto itself you're only there for about 5 minutes. Thankfully our boat guy was more focused on the other couple so we didnt have the bad tip experience like some. Worth a visit for 1 time but I probably wouldn't go again. …
