Great trip

This is a full day, departing at 9am and returning about 5pm. The trip goes from the port in Sorrento to Marina Piccola, on Capri. On our trip, there were 7 passengers, 4 separate groups. Refreshments are available inc in the price.

On the way, the driver and guide (Vincenzo on our trip) point out the famous landmarks. You stop for photos and a swim (step off stern on the Boat)

Arriving at Capri, you get off onto a dinghy that takes you the 20 or 30 yards or so to the jetty.

You then have a light lunch at the da Gioia Restaurant included, or buy a bigger meal if you wish.

After that, you have a few hours on your own, with the intent that you take the short walk up to the bus (or taxi if you prefer) and go into Capri town.

After returning to the Boat, the next stage is to continue around the island, to see the other sights, including the option to jump onto smaller boats that will take you into the blue grotto (separate payment).

Then it’s around the Island and back to Sorrento, with views of Ischia and Napoli.

The Driver and guide were both very attentive and kindly, manoeuvring the boat so all on board got the photos they wanted. A great day.

Excellent Experience

My friend and I booked two tours with MBS Blu Charter and enjoyed both immensely. Alfonso and Enrico took us to Amalfi & Positano for our first tour and then to Capri the following day. They were really great, we had good fun with them and they made an effort to speak to everyone and make sure we were comfortable. They provided us with drinks and a delicious sandwich on both tours. I was nervous getting in and out of the boat but Alfonso and Enrico were very helpful. I would absolutely recommend booking a tour/tours with them as the trips have been the highlight of our holiday. Communication with MBS Blu Charter before the tours was also very efficient through email and WhatsApp.

Perfect day trip from Sorrento

Fantastic day trip! Luigi and our captain Dario made this experience. You head over to
Amalfi first for about 90 minutes and then to Positano for about 90 minutes which I think was ample time to check out some shops and grab a bite to eat at both towns. After the two stops you’ll stop at a location to swim in the gorgeous water.

Luigi was great about pointing out things along the way and captain Dario was a fantastic boater making the way home much more comfortable.

The boat was very spacious, there were 12 people total on the excursion and we were cramped at all and had space to spread out.

Can’t recommend them enough!

Misdescribed and Dangerous
The two guides on the boat were fantastic and very helpful. However, my partner has mobility issues, and the trip description said it was OK for 1-99 years old. It most definitely is not. Getting aboard the boat was dangerous and impossible without the help of the guides and 2 other tourists that were kind enough to help. If there had been any kind of emergency, we would have been stuffed. There was no information about what to do in an emergency and no life jackets. The trip itself was a huge disappointment. The description said we would have a couples of hours in the main town what it didn't say was you would be dumped off at the opposite side of the Island and have to climb many steps to get to a bus stop. Then queue for a bus that is so rammed there is nowhere to sit. Another impossibility for my partner. We spent three stuck in a bar whilst other tourists made the trip to town. We were then taken to another grotto and told this had been closed for safety reasons due to a danger of falling rocks and then proceeded to take us in anyway stating this was illegal and they would get fined if caught. Lastly, we stopped at another grotto to swim. When the swimmers returned, they had all been stung by jellyfish. No warning was given about jellyfish. This trip cost 300 euros plus embarkation fees. In my opinion, it is misdiscribed, dangerous, and overpriced.

Dear guest, We are sorry to read your review and we would like to give our opinion. First of all, you should have informed us of the serious mobility impairment your friend had, so that we could have prepared us better and provided you with a suitable boat. Older people tell us their age in advance and have always enjoyed a wonderful experience. Nevertheless, we requested a special permit from the harbour master's office to allow your friend to board using the pier reserved for maritime authorities. All our boats are equipped with life jackets (it is compulsory by law to have them on board) and if you had asked our captain he would have shown them to you. As far as emergencies are concerned, our skippers are prepared to handle adversity and to tell you what to do at the right time. Disembarkation on the island depends on several factors and it is not possible to know the place of disembarkation in advance. The place where disembarkation took place involved climbing a few steps before arriving at the square from where public transport and taxi services depart. If there was a bit of a queue to catch the bus we are sorry, but it is not up to us. You could have evaluated the taxi service, also given your friend's mobility impairment. As for the visit to the cave closed due to falling rocks, you probably didn't catch our commander's joking manner. We always try to show as many things as possible to our clients, always in complete safety and in compliance with maritime laws. Finally, as for jellyfish, they are clearly visible from the boat and while we are sorry that some customers have been stung, we certainly cannot kill them or 'ask them to leave'. Your opinion regarding the price, description and dangerousness of our tour is, fortunately, diminished by the over 1000 positive reviews we have about our tour. Regards, MBS Blu Charter Team

Blue Grotto and Capri boat tour
Sept 2022
We went on a boat tour that included the blue grotto, swimming and 2 hours in Capri.
Our boat Captain's name was Vincenzo. He was a wonder man, very friendly and happy. Fredrica was the young girl on the boat that gave us information about the beautiful sights. These two made this trip fantastic! The coast was breathtaking!

Just wow!

Usually when I travel I don't leave any review but this is an exception, Luca has been a very great host and Mateo a nice capitan, they add a lot the the already stunning experience. The tour was well organized, the boat was clean and I felt very comfortable, they give you the right time to swim and the guide Luca told me a lot of Fun fact that made it even more interesting. HIGLY RACCOMANDED !!

I wouldn’t visit Capri any other way!!

Last week I visited Sorrento and really wanted to experience a boat trip to Capri. So I booked through MBS Blu Charter, it was super easy to do and hands down the best boat trip EVER!! And that is all down too Michele. He not only gave us the best guided tour speaking AMAZING English he was so kind and hilarious! Made us laugh and enjoyed every second of my trip. Thankyou so much Michele and MBS Blu Charter. If you are looking for a boat trip as well as swimming in the sea, lunch everything & more 100% book!! And ask for Michele 🙌🏻

I also went on my own and made some great friends

The 2 of us had a great trip of a beautiful yacht, recommeded!

My wife and I, hired this yacht for a 2 hour sunset cruise. It was spectacular. This is a very nice 33’ yacht, with a great crew. We left out of the commercial port in Sorrento and sailed along the coast. Vincenzo was an awesome captain, managing a gentle ride in rough seas. Federica, the first mate, served us beer and wine, while pointing out interesting places along the coast. We stopped at the best sightseeing areas, getting in very close for an intimate experience. They offered us a chance to swim at any point, but we did not want to get wet. We cruised for longer than the 2 hours we hired. Vincenzo let us drink his chilled, homemade Limoncello, it was so refreshing. I hope he had some later!

Wonderful Capri day trip

These guys were great! We booked a small group day to capri including the blue grotto and that’s what we got. It was well worth the cost. Only 12 people making it very cozy and casual. First boat to the blue grotto which was great. A long ride along the coast of capri showing all the sites! A 3-4 hour stop at capri for free time. We had a wonderful lunch on the island with enough free time to get to Anacapri also. I would highly recommend this company. Professional, informative, and fun!

Semi private day trip to Capri

Our skipper Sergio was 1st rate!! Made it a very enjoyable experience. The coast line and grottos were outstanding. The blue grotto is amazing but it does cost extra. We were put with a great group of fun people, 4 girls from Philly and a mother/daughter from Australia
