It is not just one aqueduct, but a confluence of them. It is worth it to walk under and around them. Not much explanation though.

A well kept and robust 9th century aqueduct which served to bring waters to the city from the nearby hill of Bonadies (where the castle stands).

These Aqueducts are parts of the city's history. They are huge, big edifices but they are not something that you HAVE TO see, because they are in the middle of the city and if you just walk around you will find them. I would be...More

We passed under these driving into our apartment so walked back out the next day to see them up close. My husband and his brother come from a builder background and they reveled in the structure and how long these have stood in the city....More

This isn't hard to find really - it is actually visible from Via Roma if you look up the right street. It's fabulous to see how houses and roads have been built around it, that is still standing and appears to be quite robust. There's...More

As I was walking in Salerno, suddenly I saw these ruins of mediaeval 9th century aqueduct between the new buldings and over the new rood. I like it !
