We stayed in Cosenza one day, we stayed at the Castle, where you have a panoramic view of the city. To go up we did "old" Cosenza, which I must say would be in need of tidying up, so many damp or abandoned houses, a shame. In Cosenza Nuova I really liked the main avenue where there is an open-air museum, very interesting, all very well looked after, and the avenue with the fountains.

A course full of contemporary works of art which, if well maintained, could be a precious resource for the future, like Piazza della Signoria in Florence. Born from an intuition of Giacomo Mancini senior, who at the time was fiercely opposed by traders and residents. Unfortunately, the unknown lies precisely in the insensitive citizens who evidently do not fully appreciate its real value. Even the administrations that have followed one another over time, despite their apparent good intentions, evidently always find themselves busy with other matters, often neglecting them and not giving them the necessary care and attention. I would say that they are pearls before pigs

Walk through the Corso Mazzini in Cosenza is a pleasure for art lovers to shopaholics! The course is full of shops, bookstores and bars with outdoor seating and simultaneously strewn along its path of works of art by various artists, to enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a culture known that never hurts!

The museu all'aperto makes you to go around and around visiting the old city and the paints on walls along the city. Problem is when it rains, but it a valid idea for tourists know the city.

Shops, pubs, ice cream and more in a nice and elegant city center avenue. Perfect for a walk cause the street is closed to cars and moto. The monuments are in the middle of the street and this enhances the good feeling.

We walked this street on a Saturday evening. It is blocks long.It seemed like the entire town got dressed up and strolled the street(s). Lots of shops and lots of places to eat.
Great for people watching as well.
Surprised to see this after driving around the city. Not a reason to visit Cosenza, but if you're there, gotta go.

At first all statues and work of art seem copies of works of famous artists: they are real! Well kept in nice classic Italian passeggiata
