Puente de Segovia is a nice stone bridge, resembling a Roman aqueduct. The bridge was built some time during the 16th century, and it is said it is the oldest in Madrid. The bridge owes its name to the fact that the way from one side is that from Segovia, so you cross over the river as if coming from that city into Madrid. It's also notable that the bridge has undergone a number of widenings and renovations over time to accommodate a modern, growing city environment. The bridge is not a very high bridge, but the views from there are still quite good. However a walk in the vicinity of the bridge is much better, than just standing on it.

This bridge spans the river Manzanares near the Parque de Atenas and connects Calle de Segovia with Paseo de Extremadura. It dates to 1580, has nine arches, is the oldest bridge in Madrid, and because of its historic significance was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1996. It has undergone many changes over the centuries, being one of the main access roads to the City.
