This little museum provides an insight into an interesting point in history. Read about the period before you go, to get a full insight. Well curated with charming and helpful staff. There is a lovely cafe too.

This is a wonderful museum. It presents a bourgeois home in Madrid in the 19th Century, with furniture, paintings, chandeliers, toys, fans, dishes, and lots of other artifacts of the era. Beautiful house. And don't miss the beautiful Café in the garden!

We wandered over here on a late Sunday morning during free entrance. It felt like there were only a handful of other visitors there so it was peaceful. With kids, it was a nice way to spend an hour away from the tourist crowds. Oh,...More

Spent a couple of hours in this museum and really enjoyed it. Well laid out with English guide book. Best thing was it was free but its not expensive anyway. Recommended.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
