Largest Bull Ring in Europe, dating from 1929. I did the 1 hour self guided audio tour. Very informative, ends in the Museum after a tour of the bull rind and the stables where the bulls are kept. Budget 90 minutes for the tour.

The bull ring was only a few blocks from the hotel, so we walked over to see it one morning. Very impressive size and construction. It was early and the facility not open so all we were able to see was the outside.

If you're visiting Madrid, you'll likely be sticking to the Gran Via area, but coming out to the Plaza de Toros is worth the trip out. Not everyone loves a bullfight. However, I'd say you should learn about the history of this sport and if...More

Self guided, the tour gave you a great in sight into the history of bull fighting. The best thing we did in Madrid.

Please ignore the title-just visit it looking this as a part of tradition. Bull fights are organised every sundays and reserve you tickets directly from the website. It is better to choose a place which is having shade. Carry ample of water. You can visit...More

Luckily we were in town when there was a scheduled bullfight. I recommend buying the shaded seating as the sun doesn’t set until 10ish at night( therefore you will be hot & get sunburned. Positive notes: the introduction with trumpets to announce the entrance or...More

As part of our city tour, our tour group came by here for a visit. The stadium was huge and gorgeous and very nice. However, there was no bull-fighting demonstration (just the night before our visit there was one such event) as it is now...More

We went there by curiosity to see ‘the famous bullfights’ in Madrid. The stadium is an impressively beautiful building. The bullfight is not on the same... The toreador has a few helpers that made the bull run around. However, they are protected behind fences, so...More

I bought tickets from Vistingo. They email you the tickets as a PDF with a QR code which you have to open on your phone for the usher to scan. No need to collect tickets at the gate. That said, when I arrived I realized I... More
