Next to Plaza Mayor, this is a place with stunning architecture, very busy and crowded market, variety of food, tapas, wines, you can eat as locals. I highly recommend it

This is a chic, well designed market with an abundant choice of authentic Spanish food options. Definitely go hungry and try little items from numerous vendors instead of buying a larger meal from one place unless you plan to go back multiple times. The only...More

This market was lovely! Visited here with coworkers and we enjoyed sangria, olives and other items. Found all employees to be very friendly and an overall happy place. They do have restrooms but you must show a receipt to use.

A real experience. Immense choice of top end tapas and great food. The owners of the stalls are knowledgeable, helpful enthusiasts.

A sight for your senses! So much fresh food to see! Very crowded but well worth a visit. Wish we had these kinds of markets in the US!!

A great place plenty of colours and flavours. I enjoyed the vermouth bar. My favourite is the smooth vermouth. There are great pinchos and tapas.

We went there twice. A huge selection of local food. Very nice presentation, but the prices are very high. It's a place to visit once or twice (second time we didn't buy anything).

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as

Yes, it’s always a good time - but I prefer a bit later to enjoy beer and tapas!
