This facade is pretty, but isn't significantly prettier than many other churches. Churchgoers were friendly, and I attended a service there as I stayed nearby. However, I was not aware of any artwork in the the church and would have looked for it if I...More

My wife and I went to see the San Gines Church because we were walking on Calle Arenal. We always enjoy this church because it has many beautiful religious paintings that have been restored.

Another place in Spain that we just missed due to Siesta hours. Still it was great to see the exterior and have something to come back for.

Nice small church. Worth entering and have a look around. Beggar sitting in front of the church doesn't add to a nice experience but still :-) Glad that I entered :-)

Very nice small church. One of the oldest, but reconstructed in 19th century. The church has a nice altarpiece.

Well worth a visit to see this church. There were many locals in there doing their usual blessing at the time of the visit so nice to see how their culture worships.

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
