Wow, what a super afternoon we had with Anthony. We booked before we left the UK for a group of 6, let's just say slightly older ladies! There was plenty of nervousness before we got going but after 30 mins everyone's confidence grew. We saw...More
Antony is a top guy. He really knows his machinery. He is a great instructor and he really knows Madrid.
Had a great tour listening to his stories about the history of Madrid but even more entertaining was the stories about previous trips.
I've never gone a Segway before so I thought in Madrid it was time to start. The guys at the Segway tours are really nice. We had a guy called Hans who first of all showed us how to go a Segway ( it's not...More
We couldn't recommend Francisco and Madrid Segway Tours. We had fun learning la vita Segway and touring around the city. We could not have learned or seen so much without our guide and the Segway! All of this on top of the hilarity of watching...More
Our guide, Francisco, was very, very personal and provided a great experience. We were late and he took it in stride and provided an excellent tour experience. Segways are a great way to cover a lot of territory quickly. He was very thorough in training...More
Anthony is a hugely experienced Segway guide. He looked after us really well on our tour. We saw so much of Madrid and Anthony kept up a constant supply of interesting background information about the many landmarks and attractions that we viewed. There were six...More
Great tour all over Madrid tailored to our family's interests. Originally from South Africa, Anthony speaks perfect English and is much easier to understand than some other guides we have had! He even took lots of family photos with his nice camera and sent them...More
Segways are a great way to tour - you can cover more territory than on a walking tour and you can get into places where the tour buses can't. And segways are fun - especially on Anthony's tour.
He's a very good, knowledgeable tour guide....More
We went out on this tour this morning. Anthony contacted us first thing with a map to show where the base was and off we went. The Segways are easy to get to grips with and he adjusted the settings as we got more confident....More
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
