Don’t have too high expectations and you will not be disappointed. It is worth the climb up. We are both over 65 and managed ok but it is exhausting. The top is quite large and pretty flat with many paths in different directions. There are...More

Despite the fact that there are undoubtedly fabulous views out over the water from the highest and other vantage points en route the castle itself is a little tired and disappointing. The climb to the top is not for the faint hearted but the edifice...More

Took taxi up. Inside the fort there's lots of walking and steps but great views and interesting gardens. No signage we saw so you're pretty much on your own. Long walk down from the castle.

If you want to get an idea of the vastness of the third largest port in the world, come to the castle and walk the walls. The interior is beautiful as well.

Visited here on a day trip. Was quite a trek from the car park. The fountains were lovely and the views were spectacular. Lots of hidden monuments within the grounds. Really tranquil place despite all the tourists!!

This old fort sits high above the city giving you great views of Vigo bay and the port. It is fun to wander explore and the gardens are well maintained.
