A great beach for a contemplative stroll. I went at low tide and it was just beautiful. There are cafes along the promenade although not open on the morning which was a shame.

My husband and I visited this beach with a Cruise outing. We were thoroughly amazed by the vast beauty here. We arrived in the early morning and it was low tide so the lava rocks and sea life were evident everywhere for walking through and...More

Spent the day here in 26 degrees. Arrived around 12pm with only a handful of people on the long stretch of very clean beach. A few places to eat. Not busy until after 3 when the locals come but more than enough room for everyone...More

I love this beach! It is great, to go for a run along the promenade, or to walk along with friends, or just to stop for a drink and watch the sunset. I have seen some of the best sunsets ever from here!

Playa Samir is easily accessible from Vigo city centre by public bus. It has a well maintained promenade (suitable for strollers/wheelchair) overlooking a clean beach. There is not much to see around the beach but it does boast very pretty views of Illas Cies. Well...More

Beautiful and Big beach, i could never immagine something like these. In front of the pool there are kiosks, bar, pubs and free swimming pools with lifeguard. At the end of the beach, under a white building there’s the dog’s beach. You can go there...More

If you're going to be in the Vigo area for long make a point of visiting the beach for a day or two. Beautiful sunsets, great local restaurants.

.....really lovely sand, clean and a good mix of people. Lots of pools for kids to swim in, cafes (expensive though) and white sand with cold sea water! Recommend a picnic as expensive prices.

The city bus company is called Vitrasa. There is a great bus service in Vigo. You can take one of the number 10 or 15 buses to Samil. It takes a while to get there. The nearest bus stop to the port is A Laxe or Praza... More
