The priests swung this huge censer at the end of the Pilgrims' Mass and it was amazing. Not only the incense smell but the experience itself is not to be missed.

I was most looking forward to seeing how the very large censer was raised and moved through the cathedral. However even though we were at the major mass at noon, it was not used. I suggest you ask at the church or hotel what times...More

Agree you should be on one of the sides. Front rows are less obstructed but to get full view of swing over your head, further back might be better.
