The Mediterranean balcony is the place where travel guides recommend to start exploring Tarragona. However, to get to it, you need to go through Tarragona, so it is difficult to follow this thoughtful recommendation. However, this is really a great place to see Tarragona, which stretches its neighborhoods, docks and factories along the Mediterranean coast. From the observation deck, you can see the Roman amphitheater, the city beach, the port, the el Cerrallo district and part of the old town This is where the so-called New Rambla begins.

Really - if you're in Tarragona, particularly if you come by train, you won't miss this unless you skip going into the city altogether. Tarragona is stunning. There are nice restaurants nearby, too.

A leisurely stroll along the Rambla Nova and you come to the Balcon. it is a beautiful spot to look down along the gardens and out to the Mediterranean Sea. A worthwhile walk.

Lovely views from atop Tarragona looking down on the Mediterranean. When I arrived here yesterday Storm Gloria was whipping up the sea’s waves and dark, ominous clouds hovered above. Today, the view was sunny and calm. I could see several ships offshore and the red tiled rooftops below looked quite nice. This panorama is located at the eastern end of La Rambla Nova.
