I always try to get to this place at least once a year, very tranquil (as to be expected), always worth the walk to pay respects. The climb to the top of the towers to view the surrounding counties is amazing on a clear day.

The building is very much a competent work of its time. The highlight comes when you climb the narrow staircase by the chapel and emerge on the roof with a spectacular view of the Thames valley.

We went here on Easter Sunday it was very moving. Never expected to feel so emotional.When you walk in and see all those names it is very sad.It is a lovely place though so peaceful and the view are stunning

Hi! It really depends on your budget. Your best base if you’re in the area for more than a couple of days would be Windsor. Failing that, the closest hotel is the Runnymede on the Thames which is close by. A regular bus... More
