I loved the idea, an archeological museum in an old monastery. And the building is beautiful. But what I liked the most is the area around the museum and the capella Sant Nicolau de Girona . The whole area is quiet and not tired by the crowds on the touristic path two blocks away. Go see it, you wont regret it. See my pictures…

Slightly out of the tourist way in the old town but well worth the effort a good display of a roman villa through the eyes of a young slave and a fine display of ecclesiastical robes all set in a fine old monastery.

Beautiful building well worth a visit. On the first floor, there is a permanent exhibition of roman and Palaeolithic artefacts. The entrance is free so a stop over is highly recommended

While building homes in the 70's and 80's they unearthed some incredible treasures now housed in Sant Pere de Gallants. I believe this was originally a monestary that was converted into an amazing museum with treasures dating back to 30,000 years ago. Lots of bones and teeth, pottery, tools, jewelry...very cool !!! The kids will love it !!!…
