The area
Neighbourhood: Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

Booked this hotel after reading some reviews ! And wow what a great time my family had there all the staff were so friendly and always wanting to help! Especially gulliano at the front desk every little issue i had with some of our booking around the city he managed to help us with always greeted with a smile and a joke what an absolute pleasure this place was! Clean and tidy everywhere! And its central location made it a great position for shopping and getting to all we went there to see! If your going to book somewhere book this you will be glad you did!

    Simply stunning
It is clear to see why this hotel is so in demand. The service is impeccable, the property and its wide array of amenities are stunning, and the rooms are an oasis. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a beautiful suite on the top floor overlooking the city. What more can you ask for?…Just time…we wished we had booked more time here.

    Interesting Walk
This was a beautiful place to stroll in Barcelona. It is steeped in the history of the region, with stunning architecture dating back centuries. One thing our guide advised us about was where to make purchases. According to her, there’s a “locals” price and a “tourist” price for the same item. While on vacation I expect to pay, but I think it’s disingenuous to have a 400% markup on beverages like coffee.

Stay away from the crowds and explore off the beaten path.
If you want to be away from the main tourist areas and crows, stay in Gracia. It is north of the city center, and if you like to walk, this is how we got most places. Park Guell is there in addition to many stores, tapas, wine bars, and pizzas. The busses take you right downtown, and the hop-on hop-off bus goes right through it. We loved it.

Wonderful street for shopping and architecture
This is a long and wonderful street. Lot's of shops including high end ones. Architectural highlights of the city such as Gaudi's casa ballo and la pedrera can also be found here.

    Shopping and sightseeing location
There are so many places to shop and eat here. The Casa Batillo and Casa Mila are here on the Passeig. Come to shop for all the luxury goods and see the sights. Bring a luggage with you to place your bags into though… and take a taxi back to your hotel if you shop… although relatively safe, be aware of your surroundings at all times.

This is the best area in Barcelona. Loads of restaurants and shops. Easy walking distance for many attractions. The best part is accessibility to transportation to other parts of Barcelona

A very wide street with very wide sidewalks. The sidewalks are lined with very high end shopping, much like Madison Ave. in New York. All the international label stares are here, as well as great Modernista architecture and some big hotels. Loaded with people.

The Passeig de Gracia is a major avenue in Barcelona. You will find high-end shopping, unique architecture, cafes and several restaurants to dine at. Our hotel was only a block of Passeig de Gracia, and a 5-minute walk from the famous casas.

You can leave Las Ramblas with its street performers and souvenirs and in only a few minutes be on a world class shopping street with all of the big names in fashion.

Beautiful architecture and wide intersections characterize this street, and this area.

Passeig de Gracia is the most impressive promenade of Eixample, connecting the Plaza Catalunya and the Gracia neighbourhood. It is not as busy as the La Ramblas.
I liked the shops and the buildings very much! A must to walk along!

Beautiful centrally located hotel in the heart of Barcelona.
Staff were absolutely amazing and special thanks to Delia & Ian who went above and beyond. It was much appreciated.
Breakfast was fabulous each day. Freshly cooked eggs to suit and a delicious array of other foods.
The rooms were beautifully appointed (note: the rooms are not big but they are lovely).
Bar and pool also very good. The whole hotel was just perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

The most impressive promenade of Eixample, connecting the Plaza Catalunya and the Gracia neighbourhood.
The promenade dates back to the 19th century and is still the street with the highest real estate prices in Spain.
Also known for the awesome archiecture by Gaudi, such as the Casa Batllo and the Casa Mila.
