Bit of a shame there is a temporary structure in it's midst, not sure for how long but it sort of spoils the beauty of the plaza althougfh you can still appreciate the buildings around.

Lovely medieval feel to the place. Good tapas bars and restaurants all around. Nice just to walk round it

Sad because you can’t really enjoy the esplendor of this plaza due to the festival of the books. Still, much beautiful than Madrid

This is by far the prettiest plaza in Spain, better then Madrid's. I spent a year in Salamanca and the plaza has been my savior. Whether is was after class getting drinks, tanning, enjoying fairs/concerts, or just wondering- there was no way you wouldn't enjoy...More

This square just takes your breath away!!! Wonderful atmosphere even on a rainy night. We found a restaurant with a morcilla (black pudding) platter with 9 different varieties to try. Heaven. You must visit at night when the golden city lives up to its reputation...More

Outside bars and restaurants surround the Plaza with beers at very good prices and massive G&T's also good. To the south of the square there are a couple of roads crammed with more Tapas bars and places to buy your Iberico hams and cheeses.

Yes, the hotel has it's own parking. It is a little tricky to go into the parking because the streets are very narrow and the entrance to the parking is quite difficult. Reserve the parking in advance because it is limited... More
